The world's largest floating campus, popularly known as 'Semester at Sea', operates academic trips for students.
Over 500 students will be in Mombasa for six days until Wednesday 14 February, enjoying what the Kenyan coast has to offer.
“The ship has 763 passengers on board, 585 of whom are students, who during their stay will go on educational trips to visit higher education institutions, tour the city and visit various wildlife parks. “We plan to do so,” KPA reported.
What are the students doing on board the World Odyssey?
KPA further explained that the giant ship carries students from all over the world, learning about the history of the countries they visit.
The ship has people of various nationalities on board, and this year's voyage included Kenyans heading from India to Mauritius.

“The students are of mixed nationality, with one Kenyan student on board. She will sail from India and visit Mauritius as her next port of call,” the statement continued.

On Saturday, February 3, the port welcomed MSC Poesia, one of the largest cruise ships ever to call at the port.
