Officials who attended the plant's opening ceremony said the revitalization of the plant will improve working conditions for more than 1,000 technical and service workers.

Many workers were satisfied with the reopening of this factory, and said that the operation of a large-scale factory would have the effect of reducing unemployment among the people.
“Factories like this should be set up so that young people can earn a living in their own country without having to travel abroad,” worker Salahuddin said.

The Baghlan Sugar Factory began operations in the central Baghlan Industrial City in 1319 (solar year), but ceased operations in 1370 due to war and changes in the country.
The factory was rebuilt again in 1385, but after a while it stopped working again.
