54 Park Street in Moonee Ponds could double the suburb's house price record.
Former Australian footballer Ivan Kerik is eyeing a record-breaking goal in a “labor of love” at Moonee Pond that carries a hefty price tag of $20 million to $22 million.
If 54 Park Street sells within the desired range, it will double the suburb's current house price record, set in 2018 with the sale of 36 Ardmillan Street for $10.75 million.
The 2,284 square meter property has been owned by Kerrick and his family for the past 13 years, a former Melbourne Knights striker who now heads the property development arm of construction company Parkside Group.

The former soccer player paid $5.25 million for the luxury digs in 2010, according to Prop Track records.
McDonald Upton Essendon partner Joe Zucco said the owners had since completed a stunning refurbishment of the three-storey house, which was built in the 1880s.
“A house like this on a lot of this size would sell for $40 million to $50 million on the other side of town (like Toorak),” Mr Zucco said.
“This is a one-time opportunity and it doesn't happen very often…This field is in a firm grip.”
The property is owned by former Melbourne Knights striker Ivan Kerik.
A home gym and movie theater are included in the package.
This property has recently undergone an attractive renovation.
Outdoor entertainment perfect for summer.
This residence is packed with luxury amenities including a home cinema, gym, solar heated pool and spa, tennis court, and marble finishes.
There is also a spacious covered outdoor entertaining area with a built-in BBQ kitchen overlooking the outdoor precincts.
Mr Zucco said the property had already attracted international interest and had been viewed by buyers in Melbourne's prime south-east with business ties to the Moonee Pond area.
“The high quality of the finishes is unparalleled and with the land and location it is a complete property package. Park Street is one of Mooney Pond's most famous streets,” he said.
Perfect for working from home.
Original features such as the decorative ceiling and bay windows still remain.
The property is valued at between $20 million and $22 million.
“This has also been completely renovated, giving resort-style living a very luxurious feel.''
The agent added that the home was also likely to appeal to young families due to its proximity to local schools.
βThe owners had great attention to detail,β he said.
“This was a labor of love and they were unsure whether to sell or not, but it gave them the opportunity to potentially live abroad.”
Expressions of interest for the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home will close on Dec. 22 at 12 p.m.
