rugby quest
El Campello's women's rugby sevens team are embarking on a trip to Australia to take part in the third series of the Women's Rugby World Cup.
The next competition in Perth will be crucial as it will determine which teams will be relegated from the Olympic division's top-tier world competition during the season.
The Spanish team known as “Las Leonas” found themselves in a precarious position after the series in Dubai and Cape Town.
Although they are currently in danger of being relegated, there are still challenges to overcome before the decisive seventh and final series in Madrid.
The final four teams will compete against each other to avoid losing their place in the competition.
Particular attention is paid to Juanma Stella, a compatriot and member of the delegation.
Stella was part of the team that achieved the European U18 runners-up title in Prague in June and brings valuable experience to the team.
quality of tourism
El Campello is actively involved in the Inclusive System for Tourism Quality in Destination (SICTED), demonstrating a strong commitment to public-private partnerships to promote quality services.
SICTED aims to achieve consistent quality levels in all tourism services, impacting visitor satisfaction, improving destination image and fostering loyalty, while attracting potential tourists throughout the year. That's what I'm aiming for.
Currently, El Campello has 27 companies and services certified under the SICTED framework, with eight more facilities expected to receive certification soon.
El Campello is one of the early adopters of the Network of Destinations in the Valencian Community and has reached Level 3.
Additionally, the destination recently joined the national network of State Commercial Associations for the Management of Innovation and Tourism Technology (SEGITTUR).
The smart tourist destination model represents a new approach to tourism management and planning that leverages the collection and exploitation of data.
This model integrates various concepts such as sustainability, accessibility, innovation, transparency, and mobility.
Becoming a smart destination facilitates efficient decision-making based on objective information and meets visitor expectations.

Calling all artists!
El Campello has announced two art competitions to select posters for the Feast of Our Lady of Carmen in July and the Feast of the Moors and Christians in October.
The deadline for submitting proposals is February 24th.
Those interested can participate in both contests.
Two presentation methods are permitted: in-person or electronic.
Proposals must be original and unpublished, and their main motifs or designs must not be copied in whole or in part from previously published designs.
For the Festival of Our Lady of Carmen, this year's special theme is the 100th anniversary of the celebration, and the legend “Centenari de les festes de la Mare de Déu del Carme” should be highlighted on the poster.
A jury appointed by Mayor Juanjo Berenguer will evaluate the design's creativity, quality, technique, originality and suitability as the festival's official poster.
The prize for the winning poster is 1,000 euros.
The Moorish and Christian Festival will award a prize of 1,000 euros to the winning advertising poster.
