“The 'best beaches' list is gaining traction not only here in Australia but in major international tourism markets around the world,” he said.
“That's why I decided to take this opportunity to discover some destinations that may be lesser known but have some of the best beaches in Australia, and in my opinion, the world.”
Stokes Bay on SA's Kangaroo Island has previously won the title, with WA's Misery Bay taking the top spot in 2021 and New South Wales' Cabarita Beach taking the top spot. .
Queensland may not have topped the list, but it was the only state with two beaches in the top 10: Cylinder Beach and Cow Bay.

The Best Beaches list is published annually and aims to open the minds of domestic and international travelers to off-the-beaten-path coastlines they never thought of before.
Managing director Philippa Harrison said Tourism Australia's research consistently demonstrated the influence the country's coastline had on visitors.
“Beaches are one of the biggest drivers of international visitor demand to Australia, with the vast majority of travelers enjoying some form of aquatic or coastal environment while in Australia,” she said. Stated.
