Dahlia Estate, 53 Gibsonville Street, Tallebudgera Valley, has gone under the hammer for $11.2 million.
A trophy house in the Gold Coast's hinterland has sold for $11.2 million, smashing the suburban record by $5.9 million.
Dahlia Estate includes hillside homes with numerous luxurious amenities, from a helipad and outdoor gym to a resort-style pool and tennis court.
oh! Dahlia Estate quickly became one of the most sought after real estate properties in this country.
The house is built on the hillside.
The Tallebudgera Valley property first hit the market in March through an Expressions of Interest campaign and it took only a short while for the vast estate to be listed as one of the country's most sought-after properties on property portal realestate.com.au. It didn't take.
Last month, vendors Ross Hankin and Ashley Hankin, along with Koloche's Troy Dowker and James Roberts, decided to launch a new marketing effort and put the property up for auction.

The auction, called Friday by Justin Nickerson of Apollo Auctions, had three registered bidders.
Bidding started at $7 million, and two bidders competed to the end.
After 22 bids, the hammer fell for $11.2 million, with the Gold Coast buyer ultimately emerging victorious.
“It's proof of what the seller made and delivered,” Dowker said.
“It’s a great product in a beautiful and tranquil setting.”
The previous record for the suburb was $5.3 million paid for a home at 113 Monday Drive in August 2021.
Let's make a splash in the pool.
Dowker said the decision to put Dahlia Estate up for auction paid off.
“We believed in the process and got people emotional and bid for the keys,” Dowker said.
“The auction process is very beneficial to sellers and buyers.
“Sellers can often get above-market prices, and because buyers buy in public, they know exactly where the standards are and where their competition is. ”
Dahlia Estate has curves at every turn.
The Hankins settled in February 2021, paying $1.725 million for the 2.19-hectare parcel.
“Our initial concept for dahlias was simple: to appreciate these wonderful properties,” Hankin said.
“This was the most unique place we've ever come across, so we knew that anything we were going to build would have to take advantage of the unobstructed views and natural landscape of the land. I was thinking.”

With the help of designer Jason Pate, the two got to work.
Hankin, a builder who owns boutique residential and commercial construction company HNKN, began construction in 2021.
The result is a stunning combination of exposed concrete, wood and stone, perfectly combined with louvres, glass and skylights to create a warm and inviting space.
The name Dahlia Estate comes from the fact that the property looks like a dahlia flower when seen from the air.
The curves of the house accentuate the landscape, but the standout feature is undoubtedly the mountain views.
Mr Dowker said the Tallebudgera Valley offered a unique lifestyle that was sought after by many.
“You can go from the beach to tranquility and trees in 15 minutes, and you’re still in a big city,” he said.
“The advantage of this city is that it has easy access to infrastructure and schools.
“Buyers are identifying with these lifestyle choices.”
