Siaya Governor James Orengo has announced a five-year integrated county development plan (CIDP 2023-2027) worth Ksh100 billion.

Speaking during the event, the Chairman of Siaya County Assembly, Mr. George Okode, called on the Committee on Revenue Allocation (CRA) to provide funds to enable the county to realize its development plans.
He said if the CRA really valued decentralization, it should release funds based on the review laid out in the third generation CIDP for each county government across the country.
The occasion was also attended by former United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Secretary-General, Dr. Muksa Kituyi, who will help Siaya County attract investors by dispelling the existing perception that the area is not suitable for investment.
