Sitting 200 meters above sea level and occupying the highest remaining parcel of land in Airlie Beach, Airlie Summit provides a canvas for stunning architectural design.
“There's not a lot of land left in Airy, especially with the kind of great views that every block at Airy Summit offers,” Morris said.
“I think Airlie Summit is primarily responsible for sparking this architectural and demographic shift that we're seeing. When you set in a landscape like this, the possibilities are truly endless.”
Ancora has high ceilings with clerestory glass, concrete floors, and large windows.
Greg Tupikov, general manager of south-east Queensland firm Alder Developments, which has backed more than $60 million in developments, said architects were using aspects of the block from the first Lookout release to create other projects. “The design of the Ancora-like homes blends with the surrounding environment and Whitsunday sea views, creating a deliberate balance of scale and transparency, with intimate gestures harmonized throughout.”
Ancora is the first home to receive design approval in the latest phase.
“This is a great example of how aspects of Airy Summit here influence architectural design.
“This is the epitome of a will to live, and I can’t wait to see what else comes from this.”
