The ASPIRE program provides residents of Washington State and surrounding Ohio counties the opportunity to earn a high school diploma or equivalent. According to Ohio demographic information, 6,000 Washington County residents (representing 10% of the county's population) currently do not have a high school diploma.
The ASPIRE program recognizes the transformative impact that earning a high school diploma has on individuals. This includes entitlement to higher wages, more employment opportunities, and access to higher education. One aspect of her ASPIRE program is that all services are provided free of charge to Ohio residents, removing financial barriers to education and career advancement. This program offers individuals three different pathways to obtain a diploma.
High School Credit Recovery: Tailored to adults 18 and older who need a few credits to earn a diploma, this option provides a flexible and efficient route to completing their education.
 ̄ High School Equivalency Diploma: Open to adults 16 and older, this state-approved equivalency program provides a comprehensive educational alternative for those seeking a diploma.
Adult Diploma Program: For adults 18 and older, this program not only accelerates the completion of a high school diploma, but also includes in-demand career training through Adult Technical Training at the Washington County Career Center. Participants receive a wide range of career training including: Nationally Examined Nursing Assistant, Fiber Optic Technician, Phlebotomy, CDL Truck Driver, HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), Welding, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding, Business, and more You can choose from options. Office skills specialist. The duration of training varies from 5 days to 12 months.
