2003 Block contestants Gavin Atkins and Warren Sonin sold one of their three Potts Point investment apartments for $900,000.
But the price of the Zenith apartment, an 18th-floor converted hotel, was nowhere near profitable when sold through local agent Jason Boone.
The couple, who run interiors company Designer Boys, were paid $890,000 in 2017 since appearing on the first series of the Nine Network show. In other words, a recently rented one-bedroom apartment for $660 a week would have netted just $10,000 in profit over six years.

But it was a small change for the couple long known as Gabe and Was. They recently sold their outback retreat on Queensland's Sunshine Coast for a $10 million windfall.
Riverdale, a four-hectare Cooroy Mountain rainforest estate, underwent several improvements upon move-in and cost $2.7 million at the end of 2016.
They sold to former Fortescue chief financial officer Ian Wells and his wife Mary through Linda Shore Perez of Villa Prestige Properties, securing a record price in an off-market sale.

The couple also had great success with their previous 23-hectare hinterland retreat at Federal, on the outskirts of Byron Bay. He bought it in 2007 for $610,000 and sold it in 2013 for $3 million.
Gav and Waz were part of the first The Block series, where the team renovated a four-unit complex on Roscoe Street in Bondi.
They were the first same-sex couple to appear on an Australian reality show, often renovating in their underwear. Mr Sonin worked as a sales manager for Landcare Australia and Mr Atkins worked as a public relations officer, and both were working their day jobs during the refurbishment period under the terms of the refurbishment show.
Mobile phone retailer Crazy John, looking to capitalize on the series' high ratings success, paid $670,000 at auction for the makeover.
According to PropTrack, the median unit price in Potts Point is $905,000. It has increased by 5.2% over the past 12 months.
