The government services subsidiaries of Boeing (NYSE: BA) and AAR (NYSE: AIR) have combined to support the repair, replacement and maintenance of maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft engines for domestic and international military customers. Obtained $1,000 worth of contract modifications.
Both contractors will provide base-level maintenance and support services for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft to the U.S. Navy, the Australian government and other foreign military sales customers, the Department of Defense announced Monday.
Under a $95.4 million contract modification, Boeing will perform engine base-level maintenance and repair services for the CFM56-7B27A/3 and CFM56-7B27AE in Georgia and Washington.
AAR Government Services has secured $87.4 million to perform technical directive integration, airframe modification, and engine replacement services at its Indiana facility.
The Department of Defense expects work to be completed in October 2024.
The award from Naval Air Systems Command extends work on an original indefinite/indefinite quantity contract awarded in February 2018. IDIQ has been extended several times since then, including one in October 2022.
