Burger magnate David Hales has sold a Noosa hinterland property for $10.2 million, far less than his original asking price.
The co-founder of the Betty's Burgers chain and his wife Louise first listed the Queenslander on a 19-hectare lakefront parcel in July last year for an asking price of $17 million.
Lake McDonald is located on the outskirts of Noosashire.
Touted as one of Queensland's finest hinterland properties, 'Balleran' features 2.5km of Lake McDonald frontage and is approximately 15 minutes' drive from Hastings Street.

The property was marketed by Cameron Urquhart of Tom Offerman Real Estate.
The property, located at 116 Hayward Road in Lake McDonald, sold for $10.2 million.
Records show it was listed for $6.95 million when the Hales bought it in 2021, but the price they paid was not disclosed.
The home was built in 1900 and features a master suite with 200-year-old French oak floors, pressed metal ceilings, and a French crystal chandelier.

The couple made real estate headlines in 2020 when they sold their Sunshine Beach home in Seaview Terrace to former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and his wife Therese Raine for $17 million.
The property, located at 116 Hayward Road in Lake McDonald, was sold by Tom Offerman Real Estate.
The couple bought the designer home from Australian tennis great Pat Rafter two years ago.
But they still own two Noosa Riverfront properties in Mossman Court, which they bought in mid-2019 for a total of $12.25 million. This neighborhood is a popular neighborhood with fewer than 40 homes.
