Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston – (January 24, 2024) – U.S. Naval Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) Hospital Command Commander Patrick Paul Mangaran and Deputy Director Commanding General Hansen LaFoucado Accompanied by the Hospital Sergeant Major, Hospital Corps and Hospital Corps Program Chief Leslie Zioui met with Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Training and Education Campus (METC) leadership and academic staff.
After receiving the briefing, Mangalan and his team toured the facilities at Heritage Hall and Freedom Hall.
METC is a leader in military medical education, offering more than 48 academic programs in a variety of medical specialties.
With 48 medical programs and 16,500 annual graduates, METC is a state-of-the-art Department of Defense (DoD) medical education campus that trains enlisted medical personnel.
