Matthew Gendle, director of Project Pericles and professor of psychology, wrote an essay published in the latest issue of the journal Tourism in Paradise.

In the book, titled “Factors Limiting the Return of US Tourists to Sri Lanka,” Gendle discusses multiple reasons why tourist visits from the US to Sri Lanka have not returned to pre-pandemic levels. Additionally, several strategies are suggested that the Sri Lankan tourism industry can adopt to increase business from the United States.
