After years of development, Sony has announced that it has finally created a PlayStation controller designed for people who can't hold a controller for long periods of time.
The Access Controller was released Wednesday for $89.99 and is a “highly customizable accessibility controller kit designed to help gamers overcome these challenges and play more comfortably and for longer.”
The manufacturer of this controller states that it is extremely versatile as players can customize the experience to suit their needs. The controller can also be used on flat services such as wheelchair trays.

Additionally, Sony has released specifications for those who want to print buttons and stick caps using a 3D printer.
The manufacturer says it typically takes 7 to 10 days for users to get used to the controller.
“The accessibility organizations and experts we consulted provided valuable feedback early on in the project,” Sony said. “This ranged from the physical challenges that need to be considered in controller design to hands-on evaluation of prototypes and guidance for third-party devices to test compatibility. It would not have been possible without their support and insight.”
XBOX also has an adaptive controller that can be customized using a phone app. It costs $99.99 and is available for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, or Windows.
