Kanika Kapoor, known for her role in 'Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2', made her on-screen debut with 'Dono' a few months ago. Being in the world of Barjatya has always been a dream in many ways, but these films have always been marked several times for their portrayal of women and certain norms.
Nevertheless, in Dono, although she was not promoted as the lead role, she managed to create a huge buzz with her role and was loved and appreciated.
In an exclusive conversation with us, we asked her if she's nervous about not being marketed as the lead and expecting a dreamy proposal like Dono's at the film's climax. I asked please.
Q. This movie is mostly about you, even though it's not advertised as starring Dono. Did you have any apprehensions about the film when you came across it, or did you trust the material?
That's exactly what happened. So since this is the launch of his two (Rajveer Deol and Paloma), I knew from the beginning that I wasn't going to be sold. right. of course. But when I read the script, I really liked the climax. And in fact, the climax you see was added later. That scene change was added later. So once that scene changed, I was very happy with my character. And I, as an actor, had to choose what I wanted more of. Do you want to be a leader or play a strong character? At the end of the day, I feel like the marketing isn't working, but if a movie is being marketed and it's a movie, they're going to use talent to I admit it. That's why I want people to see the talent. I wanted to do this movie because I really liked my character, and by the way, the climax is my favorite part of the movie.

Q. This movie seems to have a very dreamy proposal and storyline. Again, it's very Barjatia-ish. And it's just like a dream. So, as a person, what is your ideal marriage proposal?
So I wanted a very simple proposal, and I didn't want to put too much effort into it. But when we actually filmed the proposal, I felt so good knowing that Kanikka was secretly hoping for a grand proposal in his heart. of course. And now I might be hoping for something more spectacular. That's what these movies give you, right? You live in that dream world and hope that somehow it will come true.
