Sophie Monk sells Gold Coast investment property
Australian TV presenter Sophie Monk has sold the riverfront investment property in the Gold Coast suburb where she went to primary school.
The deal comes a month after the Love Island Australia host listed her five-bedroom, three-bathroom Helensvale home with an asking price of $1.75 million.
The sale price was not disclosed, but property records show the tightly held 4,018 square meter parcel of River Downs Estate changed hands a week ago, pending settlement.
The house is in suburban Queensland, where Monk attended primary school.
It has five bedrooms and a Hamptons-style renovated kitchen.
Monk, 44, bought the renovated property for $1.1 million in 2016 after returning from a 10-year stint in Los Angeles.
The home was rented for $1,200 a week in 2021 and put up for sale in December after the tenants moved out.
Harcourt Coastal marketing agents Steve and James Weir described the property as a “classic family home with enviable tranquility, privacy and status”.
“This home has generous proportions, but there is also room to add your own personal touch,” the Weir brothers say in the property listing on realestate.com.au.
The popular TV presenter bought a house after returning from a 10-year stay in America.
