A man was stabbed to death in Kipkoyan's Kapurmeiwet area by a woman enraged over a suspected love triangle.
According to a report by Citizen Digital, the man intervened to stop a fight over a man between his mother-in-law and another woman.

A man who lived in the same compound as his mother-in-law noticed the noise outside and hurried to investigate the situation.
How was the Kericho man stabbed?
When he came out of the house, he found his mother-in-law fighting with another woman who lived on the same property.
According to local residents, the two men were fighting over a man who was in a romantic relationship with the assailant.
However, he claimed that there were rumors that the other woman was also having a similar affair. An argument broke out between the two, which escalated into a physical confrontation.
The deceased man intervened, pulled his mother-in-law aside and tried to separate the two.
Before the man could completely pull away, the woman took out a knife and aimed it at her rival, but the knife pierced the man's neck, killing him.

Why wasn't the Kericho man saved?
Witnesses to the fight noticed that the man had been stabbed and tried to save him, but he died on the way to hospital.
The woman allegedly realized what she had done and took advantage of the confusion to flee the scene.
They reported the incident to the Sosiot Police Station, where police officers responded and moved the body to the Kericho Referral Hospital mortuary.
Officers continue to search the area as the search for the woman intensifies.

Separately, a 70-year-old man was hospitalized after his daughter-in-law engaged in a bloody fight over grazing land in Ongenga area of Migori district.
The 24-year-old woman allegedly dropped her hand in defense after her grandfather hit her with a panga.
Local newspapers reported that the two men were fighting over land the woman had entered without permission.
