Vice President Ligati Gachagua said the government had recalled Mr Kirinyaga's security chiefs.
This comes after more than 10 people died and others were left blind by deadly illegal beer in Mwea constituency earlier this week.
Mr Gachagua said the county commissioner, county police commander, county director of criminal investigation and county administrative police commander have been ordered to return to Nairobi to investigate the person who fell asleep on duty.
Gachagua added that the regional chief and deputy chief also need to explain why the incident occurred.
The Democratic Party called on the judicial authorities to stop issuing orders prohibiting the arrest and prosecution of unscrupulous traders who take shortcuts to make money by selling illegal beer.
Gachagua said the government would launch an investigation into the incident to hold officials responsible.
“Those guilty will be fired and prosecuted without being deported. Traders who take shortcuts to get rich with toxic alcohol should know that they do not have long to live. “There's nothing wrong with regular alcohol,” he said.
The DP added that new security officers will be deployed to Kirinyaga to immediately begin cracking down on illegal beer.
Gachagua was accompanied by more than 20 leaders and business people to commission the expanded Joy Millers processing plant.
He also said that officers who neglect their duties will not be transferred to a new work location as this would “transfer the problem.”
Gachagua has led the fight against illegal beer, drugs and drug abuse across the country.
He has convened regional multi-stakeholder meetings in Nyeri, Chuka and Nakuru, with other members also participating.
He also held targeted meetings with relevant agencies.
The Democratic Party said it would hold another meeting with the chief and his aides over laxity in eradicating threats in the Mount Kenya region.
“We will reconvene a meeting of the chief and deputy chiefs to issue a final warning about the presence of illegal beer. Central officials are taking us (the president and deputy chiefs) to court,” he said. .
“I have met with all county commissioners, police commanders and DCIs, NIS, administrative police commanders and police officers commanding police stations and we have agreed that illegal beer must be eradicated.”
he added:
“Illegal beer is rampant because the policemen are busy taking bribes. If President William Ruto and I had not intervened, an entire generation in this region would have been wiped out by toxic alcohol within 10 years.” Let’s go.”
“President Judge Martha Coombe, why are all the illegal beer traders ordered to continue selling toxic beer? What are you going to tell Kenyans, Mr. Judge and Mr. Presiding Judge? Officials have to be patriotic and rational. How can we apply the law?' To the detriment of the people,” Gachagua said.
He noted that the businessman who developed the killer beer in Mwea had been arrested several times by security agencies, but secured redress through court orders and continued selling alcohol.
He also called on police to step up enforcement efforts and avoid bribery.
“Police officers will receive a 40% pay increase, but I urge them to do the right thing and give back to society,” she said.
