Kimanzi explained that Peter was always quiet and it was difficult to tell if he was having any problems.
He said Peter arrived at work as usual but did not speak to him as he seemed stressed, adding that he asked his fellow boda riders what was going on.
“His name is Peter. Peter was a man of few words and a hard worker. I don't know what happened to him. I saw Peter in the morning, but he didn't talk to me because he could see.” “He was stressed out. “I asked them why they felt so stressed out. I just asked the young people out there,” he said.

His mother said he had tried to harm himself just two months ago, but friends and relatives stopped him.

Kimanzi further revealed that it was a huge loss for his young family, adding that he was married with a young child.
He added that the boda boda rider was preparing to drop his young child off at school before he was found dead.
“We suffered a loss because Peter was young, married and preparing to send his children to school. It's a huge loss,” he added.
Mutuku Kilonzo, a fellow bodaboda, added that many people are experiencing various problems and it is difficult to know about them if you don't have someone to talk to.
His body was moved to Mwingi Level 4 Hospital mortuary to await post-mortem examination and burial.
