Kyle and Tegan plan to move and plan to apply for a DA to complete the renovations within the next few years.
Radio mogul Kyle Sandilands and wife Teagan Kynaston have big plans for their recently purchased $14 million Vaucluse home.
Sources close to the couple say they are considering moving and will then apply to the city council for a DA to add a third floor to take advantage of views of the harbour, bridge and city.
Apparently they loved the privacy of a two-story, four-bedroom, four-bathroom home with a pool, spa, and double garage, just a four-minute drive from the house they were renting near Nielsen Park. He seemed to like it.

Selling agent Alan Fettes of Ray White Double Bay would not comment on the identity of the buyer, but other sources say that apart from the third floor, which offers a better view of the harbour, the Teagan He said he wanted to move his bedroom to the second floor.
In the current layout, three of the four bedrooms are on the entry level, with the fourth bedroom located behind the garage on the lower level.
Having a master suite with an en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe right next to the lounge and dining room may not be ideal.
Three of the four bedrooms are currently on the entry level.
Placing the bedroom on the third floor above the second floor will provide even more entertainment space on the entry level.
By moving the bedroom upstairs, couples can also have the entire entry level as a huge entertainment space that connects to the outdoor area, pool and spa.
Another reason they were interested in the house was its proximity to good schools for their 1-year-old son, Otto.
KIIS FM's Breakfast Stars – who have just signed a $200 million deal to bring the Kyle and Jackie O show to national airwaves – and Kynaston paid $3 million for the Glenorie in Sydney's Hills district in July last year. He also owns a “castle'' that he bought in .
Mr Sandilands said at the time that he intended to build a Hamptons-style family home on the 9,580 square meter plot, which borders bushland.
It is understood there are still plans for the facility in Vaucluse to function as a weekday city pad.
Records show the property last traded in 2017 for $6.8 million.
