MARGATE — Ken Mosca has resigned as city business administrator.
Thursday's committee agenda included a resolution to fire Mosca, but it was withdrawn after he submitted his resignation earlier in the day, city officials said.
The city did not say why Mosca submitted his resignation, but said “the manager was appointed at the will of the commissioner,'' and “the previous administration appointed him,'' said Margate City Clerk Johanna Casey. he said.
“The committee form of government does not require a corporate administrator,” Casey said. The committee will decide on a course of action at a later date. ”
Mosca could not be reached for comment.
Commissioner Maury Blumberg, who has served on the commission since 2007, Katherine Horn, and current Mayor Michael Collins won their seats on the commission in the city's nonpartisan election in May. They defeated incumbent John Amodeo and Mayor Michael Becker.
