Oak Ridge-based Boston Government Services LLC has added Doug Freund to its board of directors as chief operating officer.
Freund previously served as vice president of operational support at the Y-12 National Security Facility and the Pantex plant in Amarillo, Texas. He most recently served as senior vice president of markets and strategy at Kiewit Nuclear Solutions, according to a news release from Boston Government Services.

“Doug is well known and highly regarded throughout the industry,” said Harry Boston, founder and CEO of BGS. “He brings leadership experience and market knowledge that will help BGS continue to grow and prosper.”

Mr. Freund has more than 24 years of professional and managerial experience in nuclear weapons operations, production, and strategic program planning and budgeting. He is currently a doctoral candidate at Capella University, studying leadership and continuous improvement.
