The session on training the trainer in hospitality and tourism covered emerging management schools and best practices in trainer-trainee relationships, effective mentorship, and sustaining the tourism learning ecosystem.
Similarly, the educational sensitization and training sessions on conservation, preservation and restoration of cultural properties in Southwest Nigeria included studies on Yoruba cultural heritage appreciation and best practices in managing traditional artefacts to enhance tourist and visitor experience.
Members of the Association of Travel and Tourism Writers of Nigeria (ATTWON) and other independent travel journalists participated in a session on digital content creation on tourism in Nigeria.
“Key areas of focus for the training included mastering social media platforms for tourism news reporting, using computer applications for photo curation and the best tools for editing videos using mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
