We have published advice for Amazon Fire TV Stick users to perform a factory reset.
This tip was given on a popular Reddit forum called r/fireTV.
This was posted in response to a frustrated user who revealed an issue with an insufficient storage error message.
“Horrible critical out-of-storage error. Drives me crazy,” they wrote.
“I've been trying to solve this problem for days and it's driving me crazy.
“I have a 4K Firestick that is about a year or year and a half old.
“There are literally three apps installed and that's it. But apparently one day it decided that all 5 gigs of memory were completely full,” they continued.
Frustrated users kept asking for “literally any tips or advice” out of desperation.
Several Amazon Fire TV Stick users tried to offer advice in the comments of a Reddit thread.
“At this point it's easier to do a factory reset and start over. At least you only have 3 apps to re-download,” one person wrote.

“Factory reset please,” another poster wrote, receiving five upvotes from people who agreed.
“Hmm, given that Amazon keeps sending out updates, I wonder if that's the cause of some of these issues,” another user suggested.
To restore your Fire TV Stick to factory settings, you need to go to the Settings app.
Then click “My Fire TV” to reset to factory defaults.
This will return your Fire TV Stick to its new state when you purchased it.
A factory reset may not resolve all issues, as you will need to download the app again and log in to your streaming service again.
