CAIRO: A Saudi government platform this week launched a series of new services as part of its efforts to transition to digital time-saving services and make them easily accessible to the public.
The new services made available through the Minister of Interior's electronic platform 'Abshar' include transfer of car ownership between family members, issuance of car driving license from showroom, transfer of motorcycle ownership, motorcycle driving license. and renewal of upgraded licenses. driver's license.
The service was launched by Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Basami, Director General of General Security, and was made possible through a partnership between security authorities and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Agency (SDAIA) and the International Information Center.
In 2013, the Saudi Ministry of Interior launched the Abushar app, which allows Saudi nationals and expatriates to access various government services. Since then, the range of services has expanded significantly, including job search and renewal of passports, residence cards, and driver's licenses. Since the global pandemic, the pace of the Kingdom's digital transition has accelerated.
Last November, the Saudi Ministry of Justice introduced 11 new judicial e-services to Naziz, bringing the total number of services available through the portal to more than 150.
The services included checking a lawyer's legal qualifications, checking the validity of a power of attorney during litigation, and viewing attachments related to Naziz, Saudi state news agency SPA reported.
