Swansea City have had three permanent head coaches during Andy Coleman's tenure at the club: Russell Martin, Michael Duff and Luke Williams.
Swansea City chairman Andy Coleman has defended the club's January transfer business amid criticism from some fans.
The Swans introduced Ronald, Przemysław Placeta and Charles Sagoe Junior in the final stages of the winter season.
However, many supporters remain concerned about the balance of the squad after major changes were made in the summer.
Coleman told BBC Radio Wales Sport: “I think we wanted to end this period stronger than we went into it and I think we did that.”
“We needed speed and physicality, and I think Ronald is a great example of having both.
“We are looking forward to seeing how the new players integrate into the club and how they will help us move forward over the remainder of the season.
“There were certainly other targets that we wanted, but we didn't get them, either because they went elsewhere or because they weren't available.
“January is never a big month, and shouldn't be planned to be a big month, because there aren't usually big deals.”
Sporting director Paul Watson has been criticized for overseeing the addition of several players who were deemed unsuited to Swansea's traditional style of play.
Two of last summer's many signings, Christian Pedersen and Nathan Joa Ong, both left on loan in January.
However, Coleman believes the club is now in a position to be more productive in the transfer window than in the summer of 2023.
“I understand that (criticism of Watson) and if I were a fan I would be just as upset,” Coleman added.
“The team has performed poorly and we haven't gotten the results that we all expected at the beginning of the season.
“Injuries have definitely had an impact, you can plan and strategize but at the end of the day if the players aren't there you're really limited.
“While data was an important element in the planning that was done for the window, it was not the only important element.
“We have worked more closely with our scouting department and coaches to create a complete team company and we feel the time is now.
“The set-up was very different from the summer and we were missing some key elements in terms of scouting and data.
“Now we feel like we're getting those tools in place. As each window progresses, we're able to take advantage of those tools and leverage them faster.”
Swansea have a number of contractual concerns to address in the near future, with Jamie Patterson, Nathan Wood, Kyle Naughton, Liam Cullen, Joe Allen and Liam Walsh all set to complete their current contracts in the summer. It is expected to expire in . Swansea have the option to extend the contracts of Wood and Cullen.
Swansea will also lose loan players Carl Rushworth, Charlie Patino, Sagoe Junior, Harrison Ashby, Jamal Rowe and Bashir Humphries at the end of the 2023-24 season.
“We're already starting to work towards the summer. Whether it's pre-contracts, targets or whatever, we're now in a good position to act sooner. Ultimately we all I think that’s what I want to focus on,” Coleman added.
“We want to be better now and in the future. We need to build a club that is sustainable on and off the pitch.
“This isn't going to happen overnight. I recognize the fans, they're just like me and we all want to win.
“Expectations with Luke [Williams] Now the players will be rooting for his system for the rest of the season.
“We added the missing pieces that we thought would give us the best tools to do that.”
