Microsoft announced that it will test whether third parties that are mandated or authorized providers can advertise certain government services with vetting and prior approval.
This is for US-based advertisers using the Microsoft Advertising Search Network and Microsoft Audience Network. Supported by the following approved government services:
- Recreational passes/licenses include, but are not limited to, hunting licenses, fishing licenses, national park passes, forest passes, etc.
- Vehicle registration and title services include, but are not limited to, registration renewals, lost title replacements, lost tab/sticker replacements, etc.
- Vital records include, but are not limited to, birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, etc.
In addition to being approved by Microsoft and compliant with Microsoft Advertising Guidelines, proof of mandate/licensing for each product/service in the applicable state in which it is advertised is required. Here are the requirements you need to provide:
- The product/service you plan to promote.
- List of states covered by each product/service.
- Proof of mandate/licensure for each product/service in the applicable state in which it is advertised.
