“These are buyers who were afraid to come to the show's auction because they thought they would lose out to Danny and Adrian, who are big hitters,” he says.
Leah and Ash were surprisingly calm on the day of the auction, even when they found out their house wasn't going to get the lowest price.
“This isn't our first rodeo. We've sold a lot of properties before, so we know how this works,” Ash told News Corp.
Post-auction results show that Leah and Ash will earn a $130,000 premium over their reserve in House 1, potentially tying them with Kyle and Leslie.
But it falls far short of Steph and Gian's $5 million renovation job, which earned the show's winner a record $1.75 million paycheck.
