
The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has partnered with Motohom to launch caravan tourism in the state, in a significant move to enhance the travel experience for families. The initiative was launched by Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh at Lucknow's Paryatan Bhawan and aims to address accommodation challenges in the region where there is a lack of suitable facilities.


Caravan tourism especially caters to family-oriented travel and is poised to bring a new perspective to tourism in Uttar Pradesh. Campervan caravans sleep 6-8 people and can accommodate sleeping arrangements for up to 6 people.
There are two washrooms and cooking facilities on board, so you can enjoy a comfortable and convenient journey. Caravan reservations can be made through UP Tourism State Development Corporation Limited.
To celebrate the launch, a promotional offer will make it available for one-day bookings at around Rs 35,000. This covers travel up to 350 km with an additional charge of Rs 20 million. 150 yen per kilometer for distances beyond the initial limit.
The first event was attended by Mr. Mukesh K. Meshram, Principal Secretary, Ministry of Tourism and Culture, and Mr. Ashwini Pandey, Managing Director, UPTDC, in addition to representatives of Campervan Caravan Tourism.
Minister Jaiveer Singh expressed optimism that the new facility would significantly boost tourism in the state. He acknowledged Uttar Pradesh's prominent position in domestic tourism and emphasized the aim of achieving the same status for foreign tourists.
The introduction of caravan tourism highlights the state's commitment to providing diverse and enriching travel experiences, especially for families, and marks a positive step towards promoting tourism in Uttar Pradesh.
