The new facility, located in Semarang and covering 500,000 square meters, is currently under construction and is expected to be completed within 10 months, according to a ZC Rubber release provided on February 2.
Production at the Indonesia facility will “meet local demand for high-quality tires across consumers' everyday applications and logistics needs,” the tire maker said.
In response to ERJ's request for further details, a company spokesperson said, “We are not yet ready to reveal the tire types and production capacity of the new plant.”
Henry Shen, vice president of ZC Rubber, said in a release that the factory will supply “tires that meet the demands of both local consumers and major overseas markets such as the United States.”
“This investment demonstrates our commitment to excellence and marks a pivotal step in our global expansion strategy,” Mr. Shen further commented.
The location offers trade advantages and access to natural rubber resources, positioning Indonesia as an “ideal hub” for ZC Rubber's global growth plans, the company statement continued.
The facility will be equipped with advanced digital technology and staffed by highly skilled professionals capable of delivering the highest standards of quality and innovation.
