The Mississippi State Council on Developmental Disabilities (MSCDD) announced the availability of new grants aimed at supporting projects that improve the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities. Funds totaling approximately $175,000 can be distributed to seven or more projects, each receiving no more than $25,000.
This innovative quality of life grant application is open to a wide range of organizations, including nonprofit, for-profit, educational, and government organizations. Applications for these one-year grants starting July 1, 2024 can be made online at www.mscdd.org. The submission deadline is June 5, 2024 at noon.
Eligible projects must focus on improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These may include developing advocacy and leadership skills. Create new opportunities in employment, transportation, housing, health, education, early intervention, recreation, or community support. Or we can provide important training and resources.
Funding for these grants is provided by the Department of Community Living. For more information or inquiries, please contact Christy Ashley at 601-359-5533 or email christy.ashley@dmh.ms.gov.
