Aiedatiwa He stated this at the annual social gathering of the Ondo State Permanent Secretaries Forum (ODFPS), where he dispatched the retired Permanent Secretary in Akure on Thursday night. The governor stated that it is the administration's commitment and responsibility not to renege on its promise of welfare for workers.
He said the state government has no intention of deviating from its commitment to make the state the pride of the nation. The governor commended the dedication of the retired permanent secretaries as exemplary and said their contribution to the state was worthy.
He assured that the state government would not forget the retired permanent secretaries and said they could be called upon to serve the state in various capacities. Mr. Ayedatiwa therefore ordered the current permanent secretaries who have retired to take care of their health and make time to exercise to stay in shape.
The forum chair also said: Chief Bunmi Aladecongratulated Ayedatiwa on choosing the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket in the November 16 governorship election.
Alade said the Ayedatiwa-led administration had cleared all outstanding salaries and paid gratuities to pensioners, praising the governor’s great support to the forum and the civil service at large.
“This annual gathering is always held to celebrate all permanent secretaries. It is once a year that we sit down with our spouses and families to eat, drink wine and thank God.
“And for our retired members, we felt they deserved to be celebrated. After their accomplishments for the state, we should celebrate them to boost their morale. I thought about it.” He said.
Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoe, commended the current and outgoing Permanent Secretaries for their dedication and commitment to national development. A former permanent secretary of the state, Oba Ogunoe, described the governor as an exceptional leader.
The traditional ruler appealed to the people to support the Ayedatiwa-led government, saying the government's policies and programs are for the betterment of the nation.
Again, Stella KolawoleThe state's first female service chief praised the forum for its important role in ensuring the state had a vibrant and viable civil service that could guide government programs and policies.
Kolawole urged members of the forum not to rely on oars and continue to do their best to make the state stand out among states.
