Bomet – As Kenyans grapple with the devastating effects of flooding, a tragic accident occurred on Thursday, May 9, in the Tenweku area along the Siribwet-Olengurone Expressway.
The incident on Thursday, May 9th involved three vehicles, two cars and a truck.
The truck collided with two cars, one of which went off the road and into the flooded Nyogores River at Tenwek Bridge.

Kind-hearted motorists along the road stopped to help rescue the victims in their cars.

Emergency response forces, including Chelimo Hospital ambulance, police officers and the Bomet County Fire and Rescue Team, quickly arrived at the scene.
So far, two bodies have been recovered and the search for the remaining remains continues.
Videos and photos shared online depict crowds gathering in the area to witness the tragic events unfold as rescue efforts progress.
