Charles Sturt University has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) to strengthen its commitment to strengthening rural, remote and community healthcare.

The three-year MoU begins on January 1, 2024 and continues until January 1, 2027. During this time, you will be offered a wide range of career development opportunities across Charles Sturt disciplines through the Charles Sturt School of Rural Medicine and other educational institutions. Fields such as nursing, emergency medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, exercise and sports science, medical radiology, and psychology.
Professor Leon said the partnership was the result of strategic planning throughout 2023 by clinical, education, research and engagement teams developing a joint vision led by him and MNCLHD chief executive Stewart Dowrick. .
