Pondicherry and Karaikal districts recorded a pass percentage of 89.14% in the Class 10 exams held in March this year, revised upward by just 0.2 points compared to last year, with results to be announced on Friday, May 10, 2024. Ta. .
The overall pass rate was 89.14%, but the pass rate for public schools was 78.08%, lower than the 78.92% in 2023.
According to a press release, as many as 14,952 students from private and government schools from both regions appeared for the board exams. Of these, 7,590 were boys and 7,362 were girls. Of the 13,328 people who passed the exam, 6,801 were girls and 6,527 were boys. The pass rate for private schools was 96.6% and for public schools it was 78.08%.
A region-wise analysis of the results reveals that Pondicherry students secured a pass percentage of 91.28%. The pass rate for private schools here was 97.05%, and the pass rate for public schools was 81.69%.
In Karaikal region, the overall pass percentage was only 78.20%. The pass rate for private schools was 93.42%, while the pass rate for government schools was only 65.31%.
As many as 107 schools in both regions achieved 100% results. Of these, 90 are in Puducherry and 17 in Karaikal. Only seven of his schools in Pondicherry region achieved 100% performance among government schools and only one government school in Karaikal enclave achieved his 100% performance.
According to the results, 355 students from public and private schools got Centum in Mathematics, while 101 and 77 students got Centum in Social Studies and Science respectively.
