Lamb detectives seized 928 grams of cocaine in an investigation led by the Lamb County Drug Task Force.
The bag suspected of containing cocaine was worth about Sh3.7 million.
The operation was aimed at curbing the spread of drug abuse and cartels in the coastal region.
The detective team had circled areas where gangs tend to carry out illegal drug activities.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) raided a home that previously targeted an illegal drug hub.
One house in particular was found to contain five pellets weighing 85 grams and a weighing machine.
The team dispatched the illegal drugs and secured them at a local police station awaiting trial in court.
In one of the other homes searched, clear polythene bags containing at least 164 grams of cocaine were found.
A 354kg bag was also seized from the alternative home where the DCI was investigating.
The final residence contained approximately 325 grams of crack, and the suspect was known to be active during night shifts.
It is unclear whether the cocaine was imported or grown indigenously.
In an interview with the DCI, they said seven suspects were taken into custody.
“As a result of these operations, seven individuals were arrested on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking. All suspects are in lawful custody pending arraignment,” the DCI said.
The DCI has been working with the counter-narcotics division to crush illegal drug cartels.
A team of officers successfully extracted cocaine and heroin with an estimated street value of 3.7 million yen. They were collected in vast areas of Kilifi, Lamu and Mombasa respectively.
The team continues to investigate as further drug syndicates have not yet been identified.
