New Delhi City Council and its staff have received praise from Danish Ambassador to India Freddie Sveen for cleaning a garbage-filled service lane near the Danish Embassy in Chanakyapui, Delhi. In a new video, the envoy thanked the civil society workers and said, “I'm glad to see them in action.”
Mr. Suvan praised the NDMC workers and hardworking staff for their efforts in cleaning the area which was flooded with garbage the previous day. He personally thanked several departments, including the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Health, and highlighted the important role played by the Lieutenant Governor in initiating the action.
“This transformation is important and I would like to thank all the great people at NDMC who have contributed to this transformation. Their dedication to improving the environment is truly commendable,” the ambassador said. While recognizing the value of group efforts, he also acknowledged the individuals on the ground, emphasizing the fact that each person contributes to the betterment of the community.

On Wednesday, Suvan posted a video of himself standing in the middle of a lane and pointing to trash and construction debris strewn on both sides of the road. “Welcome to the wonderful, green, trash-filled New Delhi,” he said. The envoy gestured to the buildings of the Danish and Greek embassies and said, “Here we have the Danish embassy, and there we have the Greek embassy. This is supposed to be a service lane in between, but people just dump or whatever.'' I'm just doing it,” he added. Like here. ”
After the ambassador raised concerns, the New Delhi City Council cleaned the area. The envoy later said he was grateful to the “heroes” of the NDMC. “This is a service lane and I released a video a few hours ago to show that there can be disruption.
