A Brisbane man who was asked to shadow Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds has turned his movie star looks into an investment, securing a $1 million home in the process.
Sean Burley, 35, may be more than a decade younger than the Canadian-American billionaire, but he is often mistaken for a Hollywood star and has even had fans shower him with selfies at airports.
Mr. Burley, who was well-dressed, said he didn't have the energy to tell Mr. Reynolds' fans that he wasn't a movie star or any other celebrity.

An airport video of a fan asking him for a selfie generated exposure and caught the attention of people who work directly with Mr. Reynolds, one of whom offered Mr. Burley a job in Abu Dhabi earlier this year. .

Burley also supported Guraya's Bulimba luxury apartment project, Canvas, and purchased the off-plan, three-bedroom, two-bathroom, 131 square meter apartment for $1.34 million in 2022.
“Those guys do a great job,” he said. “It's gone up quite a bit. We paid $1.34 million and it was revalued to $1.7 million. It was completed late last year. It's an investment.”
Balley, who balances creating content for brands and educating men about fashion, style and travel, also works a day job from anywhere running InXpress, a high-tech delivery company that compares shipping options for businesses. ing.

Asked if locals in Argentina might think they see Hollywood stars playing polo, Burley said: “Ryan Reynolds doesn't even know he plays polo.'' I think so,” he replied with a laugh.
