What happened in court?
Based on the video footage, the accused is alleged to have committed the murder. During sentencing, the judge emphasized that the defendant has a criminal record and is currently serving a four-year prison sentence for a crime committed in 2019.
“The deceased was mutilated by the accused and died a very painful death,” the judge said.

She also noted that the probation officer had reported that the person in question had a tendency toward violence and was not a first-time offender.
The judge took into account the victim's criminal history and sentenced him to 25 years in prison for the crime he committed.
Upon hearing the sentence handed down against him, the defendant became furious and began to despise the judge.
“Hakuna kitu kama hio, hii ni uzinga unaniabia (That's not true, what you say is stupid),” the defendant said.
Earlier, the judge had told the man he was free to go to the Court of Appeal if he was not satisfied with the court's verdict.

Amon Mureishi, the father of the deceased child, who was present in court, said he was satisfied with the verdict, even though the case has been going on for years.
