A family of four died on Thursday in a tragic road accident near Tenwek Bridge on Bomet-Olengurone Road.
The accident occurred after the car lost control and collided with a truck traveling in the same direction, causing it to fall into a river on the side of the road.
Confirming the incident, Bomet Central Sub-county Police Chief Musa Omar noted that the accident occurred when the two vehicles were on their way to Siribwet.
The police report further said that three bodies have been recovered from the river so far and the recovered bodies also include those of a man and two women.

The police chief said the minor's body was still missing, but confirmed that the search was still underway.
With further reports,After plunging into the water, the car swayed about 50 meters from the scene and was stopped by trees along the river.
Meanwhile, the truck driver fled the scene and police confirmed an investigation has been launched.
After the accident, the remains of the ill-fated car were towed to Bomet Police Station to pave the way for further investigation.
The bodies of the deceased were moved to the Longisa Hospital mortuary pending a post-mortem.
The Bomet accident occurred just one month after seven members of a family were killed in a road accident in Salama area of Makueni County. Mombasa-Nairobi Expressway.
According to the police report, The Sarama accident occurred on April 1st. The car the family was riding in collided head-on with a truck.
The seven people, along with other family members, were returning home from Mombasa after the Easter holidays when they met their untimely deaths.
