Vice President Ligati Gachagua held a working meeting with Embu County leadership on Thursday.
In a meeting held at his home in Nyeri, Mr Gachagua said leaders led by Governor Cecily Mbarire had visited his home.
He argued that continued engagement with elected leaders is good for the country, especially when it comes to monitoring the progress of development projects.
”Ongoing engagement with elected leaders helps move development projects forward quickly.
This evening I had the pleasure of interacting with Embu County leaders led by Governor Cecily Mbarile. They called me to my rural home in Nyeri County for a meaningful work session around a bonfire,” Gachagua said.
Other leaders attending the meeting were; Senator Alexander Mundizi, Njoki Niger Woman MP, Mukunzi Gitonga MP (Manyatta), Kalemba Muchangi MP (Runiengesu), Jeffrey Luku (Mbele North), and Naberto Muriuki (Mbele South).
Prior to the meeting with the leaders, Gachagua had previously visited several locations in the constituency as Matira MP.
“I visited the Ngorano Health Village in Matira Constituency, Nyeri District, which is under construction. A model facility, the brainchild of Pastor Dorcas, this center will save many lives, improve the socio-economic productivity of young people and improve their dignity. “It will help ensure livelihood,” he said.
The DP also visited the former primary school of Kabilini and PCEA Kabilini Girls' Secondary School and encouraged them to prioritize education above all else.
