DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche are both in the playoffs and looking to win more championships, and tickets for their games are in high demand.
The Denver Nuggets won the championship title last year and will play Game 3 in the NBA Finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.
The Abs will win the 2022 Stanley Cup and face the Dallas Stars in the second round of the playoffs, with Game 2 taking place Thursday night.
According to StubHub, Ball Arena will host some of the best-selling playoff games across the NBA and NHL, as the Avs and Nuggets each make the playoffs.
Games 1 and 2 of the Nuggets-Timberwolves series in Denver generated 20% more ticket sales than the game in New York, leading all NBA conference semifinals, according to StubHub data.
As of 11:30 a.m. Thursday, tickets for the Nuggets' next home game start at about $90, which will be Game 5, assuming they can get at least one win on the road in Dallas. Tickets for Game 7, if the series lasts that long, start at $223 at StubHub.
At the beginning of the series, tickets for games at Ball Arena started at $154 for Game 1, $153 for Game 2, $164 for Game 5, and $189 for Game 7.
Avs games have also proven to be in high demand, with StubHub reporting that Colorado Avalanche home games outperform Dallas Stars home games by more than 30%.
Tickets for Game 3 of the Avalanche-Stars series started at $166 at StubHub as of FOX31's check just before noon Thursday.
As of the start of Round 2, the lowest seat prices for Avs games at Ball Arena started at $145 for Game 3, $139 for Game 4 and $179 for Game 6 on Ticketmaster.
Luckily, Avs fans can celebrate and attend the pregame party for free.
Please note that the cheapest tickets are located further away from the rink and courts. Near-courtside seats at Nuggets games cost nearly $1,000, with some tickets costing more than a few thousand dollars.
