The Cubs can't get any time off due to injuries.
On the same day that Christopher Morel left the game after a collision with outfielder Alexander Canario, the Cubs also announced Sunday that starting pitcher Jordan Wicks suffered a scrape due to strain in his left forearm. (Craig Counsell said after Saturday's game that Morrell was “okay.”)
Hayden Wesneski will receive the ball in Wicks' place as the Cubs look to win the series against the Red Sox in Boston.
#cubs Jordan Wicks won't start tomorrow. He is suffering from tightness in his left forearm. RHP Hayden Wesneski will start in his place.

Wick is off to his best start of the season, giving up just two runs in six innings against the Astros. It was his first win, his first quality start of the season, and the first game in which he did not walk a batter.
The 24-year-old southpaw has posted a 4.70 ERA and 1.52 WHIP with 28 strikeouts in 23 innings this season.
Wicks is tied for the team lead in strikeouts, with only Shota Imanaga and Javier Asado pitching more innings.
Wicks joins the Cubs' growing injured list, but it's still unclear whether he will need to remain on the IL.
The Cubs are currently without starting pitchers Justin Steele and Kyle Hendricks and relievers Drew Smyly and Julian Merryweather. Cody Bellinger and Seiya Suzuki are also on the IL.
The Cubs open the season Sunday with a 17-10 record.
