kingdom of the planet of the apes' stars Owen Teague and Kevin Durand recently talked about their pop culture inspiration for playing Noah and Proximus Caesar.
The cast of the latest film, Apes, appeared on the Inside Total Film podcast, and Teague responded to director Wes Ball's comparison of the film's protagonist, Noah, to Star Wars' Luke Skywalker. “I mean, it makes sense,” Teague said. “The story that those characters tell is about a rise to heroism and saving people and society and everything else. That's really Noah's story. There's certainly pressure, but he… [Ball] That's absolutely correct. ”
Teague's co-star Durand revealed similar comparisons between New Ape villain Proximus and tech genius Elon Musk. Ironically, the real-life actor was mistaken for the mask. “Actually, I always think of Elon Musk. It's so funny,” Durand said. “People would come up to me with eye contact, but then I realized they weren't meeting their favorite actor, it was a bigger problem. He will be co-headlining the latest Apes album with Neil Sandilands (The Flash) and Neil Sandilands (The Flash).
