During the evaluation tour in Teshima, the PS inspected ongoing projects such as the renovation of the Maturo airstrip, the construction of the state lodge and the Masinde Muliro Stadium, praising the solid progress made in preparations.

Mr Omollo also highlighted the ongoing rehabilitation of feeder roads by both the Kenya Urabun Roads Authority and the Kenya Rural Roads Authority, and called on the public to exercise caution when crossing rivers and bridges during the rainy season. .

Bungo State Governor Kenneth Lusaka has assured that his state is ready to host this year’s Madaraka Day celebrations.
“I appeal to residents, especially the youth, to support the ongoing works at the stadium and Maturo airstrip,” Lusaka said.
He warned of the possibility of landslides in the Mount Elgon area and called for caution to avoid casualties.
