Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP's Alex Rins and Fabio Quartararo were aiming for points in the Gran Premio de España race, but things didn't go their way as they finished 25th and 23rd on the grid respectively. Ta. The two joined forces for almost the entire race, with Quartararo taking the lead at first, and Rins taking the lead with four laps to go. The Spaniard finished 13th and the Frenchman 15th.

Rins started the race from 25th on the grid, but after just a few corners he was already in 19th place, where the number 42 rider was riding behind Quartararo. As the race progressed, more and more competitors fell. By lap 18, the two had moved up to 13th and 14th, which was the signal for Rins to start making his move. He overtook his teammate on the 22nd lap and finished 13th on the third lap, 28.452 seconds behind the leader.
Quartararo was aiming to repeat Saturday's strong start, but this time he started from 23rd place and was unable to improve much in the standings. After overcoming a busy opening corner, he settled for 19th place, right in front of his teammate. However, El Diablo was unable to make any further progress. Thanks to the misfortune of others, he rose to 13th place, but it didn't last long. He suffered from soreness in his arm towards the end of the race and had to pass Rins and Takaaki Nakagami towards the end. However, the Frenchman still finished in the points and took the checkered flag in 15th place, 32.015 seconds behind the winner.
With today's result, Quartararo is now 12th in the overall standings with 25 points. Rins moved up to 19th place with six points. Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP currently sits in 9th place in the Team Championship with 31 points, while Yamaha remains in 4th place in the Constructors' Championship with 27 points.
