The Net Zero Technology Center (NZTC) is a partnership between Energy Transition Norway (ETN), the Danish Offshore Technology Center (DOTC), the Australian Decommissioning Center (CODA) and the Petroleum Technology Alliance of Canada (PTAC).
Solutions for unauthorized uncorking and disposal are key to cost-effective, environmentally responsible, and compliant well decommissioning. New innovations help operators meet regulatory requirements while addressing technical challenges such as accessing wells without drilling rigs.
This call relates to the NZTC's Well Decommissioning Cooperation Initiative, which is actively supported by the Technology Leadership Board, the North Sea Transition Authority and UK Offshore Energy. The initiative will trial new technologies in multi-operator collaborative field trials, delivering faster and cheaper trials in line with UKCS cost and emissions reduction targets, and will be used across a wide range of industries in the UK and abroad. The purpose is to enable recruitment.
Successful applicants will have access to consortium members, including Harbor Energy, ConocoPhillips, Respol, TotalEnergies and Petrobras, who may receive support in developing, piloting and testing the technology. In addition, successful candidates will have the opportunity to partner with similar carrier consortiums in Norway, Denmark, Australia and Canada.
Lewis Harper, NZTC's Well Decommissioning Cooperation Project Manager, said: Our Well Decommissioning Collaborative Initiative highlights how critical collaborative innovation is to advancing the technology needed for affordable and sustainable well decommissioning and helping to achieve net-zero goals. Masu. ”
“This is an exciting opportunity for emerging developers to participate, gain exposure and potentially receive support to drive their technology development.”
The UK Government's Secretary of State for Scotland, Donald Cameron, said: “This is an innovative and affordable way to secure the future prosperity of the energy sector, through information sharing and testing, while helping to meet net zero targets. This is a great initiative that aims to provide solutions for people with disabilities, and I encourage them.” Let's explore this technology further. ”
“The UK Government is investing £90 million in net zero technology centers and more than £3 billion in leveling up across Scotland.”
