Awesome: Where to buy the best dirty chai latte in Perth
wonderful: What I really like is drinking with my co-workers and friends. Many people think that Perth's CBD is quiet. That's because they don't know where to go. Lots of great bars. I love this place, Picabar. I also love Hygge Bar on Mount Bay Road at the base of Jacob's Ladder. Craft beer is our main focus, but we also have cocktails and wine. My biggest complaint about Perth is that there are too many places offering the same thing. That's why I'm always looking for bars and restaurants that serve a variety of craft beers, especially craft beers from Washington state. I also like venues with live music like The Bird and The Rechabite. CBD is great for entertainment. All you need to do is know your way around.
Chuonkin Thai Restaurant on Barrack Street is amazing. I've been there many times. It's always busy, which is the surest sign that it's a great place to eat. I also like Hifumi-ya on Murray Street because their noodles are great.
When my friends ask me where they can eat cheaply and deliciously, I always recommend 160 Central, Soi 29. It's cheap, fast and very good.
There are so many great places to have coffee in the city that I can't choose just one, so here are my top three. Smooth Operator on Milligan Street, Howard's Groove on Howard Street and Telegram Coffee inside the State House. I usually drink chai latte. If I'm feeling adventurous, I'll have a Dirty Chai Latte, which is a regular chai latte with espresso added.
Speaking of concerts, Fred, again… [ed’s note: a musician, not a typo] It was really cool and we went to see a lot of great shows at Jack Rabbit Slim, which is a great live music venue in Northbridge. But perhaps the most memorable, and I'm not sure if I should say this considering his reputation, was Kanye West at Perth Arena in 2014. That was before he was canceled.
What about holidays? I love Albany's scenery and cafe culture. There are many great craft breweries in the Margaret River region that are well worth a visit. We recommend Cheeky Monkey and Wild Hop. I don't travel to drink or eat, so it might seem that way, but that's a bonus.
Karen and Gus: Football, burgers, and the best vacation spots in Washington state.
Karen: What do we do for entertainment? football! I like many other things such as movies, theater and ballet, but soccer is my first love. Yesterday I went to see His Majesty's ballet, and then went to watch soccer. We are members of the Eagles and go to the game every other week. I also love reading, but I don't drink wine, so I don't join a book club.
gas: I also watch all the other games on TV. I also love cars and motor racing. I own several vintage cars and “race” them (I use this term loosely). I love watching car races on TV, going up to Singapore to watch Formula 1 and going to Wanneroo.
My favorite restaurant is El Greco in Stirling. A very affordable family-run Greek restaurant that opened just before the coronavirus. They offered takeout to survive during the lockdown. We are supporting them through COVID and love the food and service. very convenient. Easy to access and easy to park in front.
However, for a cheap meal, Hungry Jack's is the place to go. This is a place where you can eat cheaply and easily on your way home from soccer.
Karen: When I'm driving through the Swan Valley, I stop by Alfred's Kitchen in Guildford for a burger. The burgers are great and the atmosphere is cozy.

gas: coffee? I prefer pubs to cafes.
Karen: We often go to Tassels Bar and Bistro in Innaroo. We go there for dinner, soccer games, anniversaries and celebrations. This is a regular spot for our family.
As far as concerts go, I think my favorite concert of all time is Adele. Incredible stage presence, great voice. Gus, you liked Adele too, right?
gas: I liked her. She didn't know any of Adele's songs until she went to the concert, but she was amazing.
Karen: You really loved the Rolling Stones.
gas: they were great. The Rolling Stones have to be my all-time favorite. I also loved Midnight Oil. And the By the Sea concert just before the coronavirus.
Karen: It was great. It was on the beach. There was Ice House, You Am I, Dave Graney, James Lane.
gas: My favorite holiday spot is Exmouth. It's not as good as it was in the 1980s or his 90s, but it's still a really good place. Totally unique.
Karen: It's in a very remote location, has a small population, and everything is very basic. But that's what makes it so great. The beach is beautiful and the water is warm.
gas: The diving is incredible. All you need are goggles and a snorkel. This year we were preparing for the hatching of sea turtles. Truly sensational.
Karen: Baby turtles! It was so beautiful.
Karen: The Art of Living
Ballet is something you do for fun. I danced from the age of 16 until I was 58, but then I developed health problems and could no longer dance. I haven't danced in years, but I can still put my feet over my head. Dancing is still my passion and I plan on going to WA Ballet performances. la bayadère Tonight at His Majesty's house. I love everything to do with art as he is a consultant and has been working in the art industry for 40 years. And I love movies. I especially like the French film festival that just ended. I also love new Australian movies.
My favorite Perth restaurant is Ekiben on Angob Street in North Perth. It's a Japanese restaurant and it's great. I also love Cinta Cafe on Scarborough Beach Road. There is a Balinese atmosphere. they make a great breakfast. The building was originally a gas station, so it's a very interesting setting.
I love this place for coffee, Hank's Corner [Scarborough Beach Road North Perth]. Like Chinta, this store has transitioned from serving drivers to serving food and coffee. It was originally a motorcycle repair shop and tire shop. They did a great job renovating it. Have you looked inside? It is very good. They serve great coffee and have a great atmosphere. Drinking an almond latte in the sun is a great way to start the day.
It's wrong to ask about cheap meals. I'd rather make a salad in my garden.
I've been working hard for the past 10 years and haven't seen enough of Western Australia. Like many Western Australians, I have traveled more overseas than in my own state. But I want to go to Esperance. Everyone rave about it. I love going out into nature.
Anne: Retired and loving life in Reedy.
I play drums for fun. I join a samba drum group on the weekends and play drums on the beach on full moon days. At full moon, we take our percussion instruments to Pinaroo Point, just north of Hillary, to celebrate nature at its most beautiful. I also do line dancing. I'm part of a modern line dancing group, and he meets 2-3 times a week for meet-and-greets. And next week there will be a flash mob. And I love movies. I always go to Luna Outdoors. I like to go anywhere I can find a drink afterwards, and in Leederville that's not difficult. It's such a wonderful place. Everything you need is here and within walking distance.
I don't eat out much though. It's no big deal to me. Never mind Kitsch Bar Asia, just off Oxford Street. I like delicious food, but I'm not particularly picky about where I eat it. It's nice to be able to drink wine with cheese and crackers. It's not the food that's important, it's the company.
This is my favorite coffee shop. Mr. Tentazioni. I have a slightly stronger Italian roast. I've been here many times, so it's definitely my favorite coffee shop.

As I said earlier, I'm not much of a gourmand when it comes to cheap meals, so I usually ask my friends for recommendations. They took me to South Terrace in Fremantle. There are lots of nice little places out there. I love food trucks. We sometimes buy something from food trucks in Scarborough on Thursday nights. I also like the Monday Night Market food truck on Beaufort Street in Inglewood. It's always busy and a lot of fun. Just a great atmosphere.
As far as travel goes, I've been to a lot of Europe and need to see more of Western Australia. I love snorkeling in Exmouth. It's great to stay on the beach and be able to literally walk in the water. But I went there only after it was modernized. Now that things have changed, I think it's best to stay away from them. A few years ago, I walked from cape to cape with some friends. That was amazing. I love anything outdoors.
