The warm weather fun is just beginning at African Safari Wildlife Park, 267 S. Lightner Road in Port Clinton, according to a news release.
The popular family destination will begin an extended weekend on May 11 and 12, according to a release.
Over an extended weekend, walk-through safaris at the park, home to kangaroos, warthogs, porcupines, lemurs, macaws and more than a dozen other species, will reopen for the season. Attractions such as educational animal shows, camel rides and turtle feedings will also return, according to the release.
Dinosaur Takeover, featuring more than 20 moving, roaring prehistoric creatures, is also included with the park's general admission, according to the release.
Extended Weekend will be held every Saturday and Sunday through Memorial Day weekend, during which the park will begin offering all attractions every day during the summer season, according to the release.
Discounted tickets, which save up to $14 per guest, are available until Sunday evening on the park's website, www.africansafariwildlifepark.com.
